The web portal «islam.ch» was set up as a service of «MMS» (Muslims, Muslimas of Switzerland) in 1997.

Since March 15, 2008, the responsibility for the website is with the editorial staff of the magazine «Die Barmherzigkeit». More information can be had from their website.

This is the 4th revision which is online since December 2005. It is now based on a so-called Content Management System (CMS) Typo3.
